How to match summer clothes with T-shirts, skirts and shorts? This was the dilemma that my friend asked me recently. I explained to him that he needs to follow a certain strategy in this relation. His queries were intriguing but he wanted to make sure that the strategy he is following is not outdated or irrelevant. I have also shared my answer to his queries here.
The basic idea behind the T-shirt, skirt and shorts matching strategy is very simple. You need to create simple sentences that can be compared with the corresponding summer clothing. For example, the girl with the long hair wants to wear a T-shirt with a long green leaf. So, the first thing one needs to do is create a simple sentence that can be matched with the clothing by using the coordinating verb. The second step is to use the appropriate verb for the type of clothing.
The next thing one needs to do is to analyze the complete sentence to check if the main verb is a subject. In the above sentence, the main verb is “the girl wants to wear a T-shirt with a long green leaf”. This is true because the T-shirt refers to a thing. The analyzable subject in this sentence is the T-shirt. In the following sentences, we will analyze sentences using both the subject and the object.
The above examples using the T-shirt as the subject showed that using T-shirt as a subject is more complex than using other noun phrases. However, using these simple sentences, one will already have an idea of how to match T-shirts with other clothing types. In this article, we will see the same pattern in other verb phrases.
In Chinese, we usually express thoughts or requests in Chinese language by making use of Chinese questions. Questioning is one of the most basic ways of expressing ideas in Chinese. In fact, the very structure of the language makes the use of Chinese question very easy.
For our example, the next question we should ask is “Why is it that the girl loves long green skirts”. The next step is to turn this into a question using Chinese question. Using simplified Chinese question form, we can transform our previous statement “The girl loves long green skirts” into “why is it that the girl loves long green skirts”? The translation into Chinese is “Why did the green skirt come into the girl’s mind?”. Now we have the exact idea from the English sentence.
As you can see, using simplified Chinese question expansion word set works perfectly in Chinese. We can modify the above example using the following verb: “glides”, “sway”, or “moves”. This will imply that the green skirt has glided smoothly on the floor. If you still want to be precise, you can also replace the word “green” with any other word that describes movement. “Follow along” or “Go along” would be appropriate for a vehicle, while “fly” or “go” for the girl would work well for a human being.
The beauty of using Chinese question expansion algorithm is that we don’t have to deal with question marks and commas. The translation is much more readable and natural. The whole sentence can be translated easily using simple Chinese sentence structures and then verify for correctness using the Chinese language computer.
